LANGUAGE COACHING

Nowadays, there are more resources for language learning then ever before. However, we sometimes find ourselves frustrated over not making any progress, give up too quickly or have to admit after years of studying that we're still not fluent in a language.
No matter how good your book, app or language course is – you can only achieve long-term success if you use those resources within a system that fits you and with methods that meet your individual needs. The goal of my language coaching is to accompany you on your language journey and to, together with you, develop learning methods and techniques as well as systems that will help you achieve your goals.

In my language coaching, I will be happy to help you in the following areas:

SETTING GOALS & CREATING A STUDY PLAN

If you're learning a new language on your own for the first time, you might struggle to find the right amount of input. Maybe you ask yourself:
How much time do I have to invest? How much vocabulary do I have to study on a daily basis? Which are the grammar structures that I need to form sentences?
I will help you set realistic goals and create a study plan that fits your needs and that you can work with on your own.

FINDING RESOURCES

Finding material that has the right level of difficulty is not always easy, especially for lesser studied languages. Often, courses are only available for beginners, news articles are too difficult and textbooks too abstract.
Together, we will identify your personal learning needs and create a repertoire of resources that you enjoy working with and that helps you reach the next level.

STUDYING VOCABULARY SUCCESSFULLY

Many people think that they don't have a talent for language learning because they struggle to memorize new vocabulary. However, in the vast majority of cases, this is not due to talent, but to the way we learn. I'll be glad to help you with questions like:
What is the best way to learn vocabulary? What is the right amount of words per day? Which repetition intervals are useful? How can I learn vocabulary online? How do I learn new words so that I can actually use them in conversations?

OVERCOMING THE INTERMEDIATE PLATEAU

You already have a B-level and can express yourself easily, but that's exactly what keeps you from further filing on your skills, become more fluent or express yourself more idiomatically? If you want to get from a B-level to a C-level it's necessary to break out of your comfort zone over and over again and to work on specific skills. Together, we'll develop exercises that will get you there!

LEARNING MULTIPLE LANGUAGES AT THE SAME TIME

You would like to learn several languages parallelly but you've realized that you either neglect one of them or don't makethe same progress in all of them? I will be happy to help you optimize your methods and organize yourself for success!

ACHIEVING FLUENCY

Often, we already have a solid basic vocabulary, we can easily read books in a foreign language, watch series or listen to the news – and yet, we struggle to apply this passive knowledge confidently in conversations. The good news is: Even if you don't live abroad or are surrounded by native speakers, there are ways and exercises that help you improve your speaking skills! With a coaching call, you will get useful exercises that will help you achieve fluency in your target language.

You don't find what you're looking for? I'll also be happy to help you with any other language learning topic! Feel free to send me an email with your request and book a personalized coaching call.
